FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Fazen AiX Breakout and automated XAUUSD trading.
What is AiX Breakout?
Fazen AiX Breakout is a free Expert Advisor (EA) developed by Fazen Capital for MetaTrader 4. It automatically trades XAUUSD (Gold) using a rule-based breakout strategy with equity-basket risk control and a per-EA drawdown kill-switch. It is a clean-room breakout-chaser — it does not use artificial intelligence, machine learning, or high-frequency trading.
Is AiX Breakout really free?
Yes, AiX Breakout is completely free. No subscription, no hidden fees, no profit sharing. We provide it free to traders who fund a qualifying account with our regulated broker partner, VT Markets, who supports the partnership.
Why do I need a broker account?
AiX Breakout is built for VT Markets’ execution infrastructure — tight XAUUSD spreads, low latency, and reliable MetaTrader 4 hosting provide a solid environment for the breakout engine. VT Markets is a regulated broker; the specific licensed entity that handles your account depends on your country of residence and is shown at sign-up.
What's the minimum deposit to start?
The minimum qualifying deposit is $300. We recommend starting with at least $1,000 for better risk management and steadier results, since the EA sizes positions conservatively relative to your account balance.
How do I install the Expert Advisor?
After opening your VT Markets account, download the AiX Breakout EA file, open MetaTrader 4, go to File → Open Data Folder, copy the .ex4 file into the MQL4/Experts folder, restart MT4, and drag the EA onto a XAUUSD M15 chart. Our /start page has detailed step-by-step instructions.
What markets does AiX Breakout trade?
AiX Breakout trades exclusively XAUUSD (Gold vs US Dollar) on the M15 timeframe. We focus on a single instrument so the breakout logic and risk controls can be tuned to its behaviour — Gold offers strong liquidity, clear breakout moves, and 24/5 trading hours.
What are the risks of automated trading?
All trading carries a substantial risk of loss. AiX Breakout includes risk controls (an equity-basket limit and a per-EA drawdown kill-switch), but those reduce risk — they do not remove it, and past performance does not guarantee future results. Never trade with money you cannot afford to lose.
Is there a verified performance record?
The published figures for AiX Breakout come from backtesting, not a live track record. On a backtest (XAUUSD M15, 2025-01-01 → 2026-03-14, $1,000 starting balance with position size compounding as the balance grows) the strategy showed a profit factor of 4.16, an 82.48% win rate, and a maximum drawdown of 11.70% (relative drawdown 24.18%). Because lots scale with the balance, the absolute profit figure compounds steeply — focus on the ratios, not the dollar total. Backtest results are hypothetical, do not reflect live execution (slippage, spread, fills), and are not a promise of future returns. There is no live Myfxbook track record for AiX Breakout yet.
Can I customize AiX Breakout settings?
AiX Breakout ships with conservative default settings that suit most account sizes. Advanced users can adjust lot size, the risk/drawdown limits, and trading hours. We recommend running the defaults first and only adjusting after you have observed how the EA behaves on your account.
